The Aspen Institute is now accepting applications for the second cohort of the Economic Mobility Fellows. Selected Fellows must have 10+ years of experience in their fields and the authority to lead a new change initiative. Fellowship applications are particularly welcomed from individuals at major corporations committed to advancing the role of business in expanding economic mobility in America. Individual participants should have a demonstrated track record of innovation and a deep passion for the topic of economic mobility.
Last year’s cohort included Vice Presidents, Directors and Managers from M&T Bank, Cox Communications, Mastercard, Levi Strauss & Co., McDonald’s, Walmart, Indeed, and Amazon.
By participating in the Economic Mobility Fellowship, companies will:
- Scale projects that solve critical business challenges and create pipelines for advancement of low-wage workers
- Develop and support internal change-leaders who can drive enterprise-wide value creation
- Leverage and contribute to a growing body of knowledge on how corporate practice can support greater economic mobility
In addition to empowering the individual change agents in this year’s cohort, the Economic Mobility Fellowship aims to strengthen our understanding of how corporate practice can support greater economic mobility.
Program curriculum includes modules on:
- Economic mobility trends, data, and insights
- Case studies in corporate practice
- Intrapreneurial skills and strategies
- Driving organizational change
- Strategies for scaling and institutionalizing impact programs
The Economic Mobility Fellowship is made possible in large part through the support of the Ballmer Group.
