The South Florida Pride Concert Band Opens its 37th Season with “And the Award Goes To” Featuring Vocalist Ashley Espinoza

Florida’s Oldest LGBT+ Band Brings Hollywood Glamour to the Stage on Sunday, November 5

The South Florida Pride Concert Band has been practicing for months, preparing to perform a masterful concert entitled And the Award Goes To, a compilation of extraordinary songs associated with a coveted Emmy, Grammy, Oscar or Tony award on Sunday, November 5 at 7 p.m. at the Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

A highlight of the evening will be the sensational vocalist, Ashley Espinoza, the South Florida Pride Concert Band’s featured performer. Espinoza is best known for her work with Voctave, a professional a cappella group and Disney’s Voices of LibertyTraveling from Orlando to grace the stage with the band, she will entrance the audience with four magnificent solos.

Guests are encouraged to dress in theme and wear their finest red-carpet attire as the band pays homage to the greatest singers, composers and actors of all time.

Videos will accompany many of the song selections and include classic sing-along favorites such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Game of Thrones, Star Trek, Rent, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and a tribute to Leonard Bernstein, a multi-award-winning composer in addition to being an esteemed conductor, pianist, music educator, author and humanitarian.
