PCVA Managing Partner Thomas Vertetis Inducted as Fellow of American College of Trial Lawyers

Pfau Cochran Vertetis Amala PLLC (PCVA) is pleased to announce that firm Managing Partner Thomas Vertetis has been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL), one of the premier legal associations in North America. The induction ceremony was held at the ACTL’s 2023 Annual Meeting in San Diego, California, which took place from September 21-24.

Vertetis concentrates his practice on assisting victims in complex personal injury cases, including medical malpractice, wrongful death, sexual abuse, school liability and civil rights claims. His courtroom successes include numerous multi-million-dollar plaintiff’s verdicts, having led more than 50 jury trials as well as hundreds of significant settlements. Previously, Vertetis served as a law clerk for Judge Jane B. Cantor of the New Jersey Superior Court and as an assistant prosecutor in New Jersey, where he prosecuted hundreds of criminal matters on behalf of injured victims.

Vertetis earned his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and his Bachelor of Business Administration (cum laude) from the University of San Diego.

Founded in 1950, the American College of Trial Lawyers is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only and only after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers of diverse backgrounds, who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality.

Membership in the College cannot exceed 1% of the total lawyer population of any state or province. The College maintains and seeks to improve the standards of trial practice, professionalism, ethics, and the administration of justice through education and public statements on independence of the judiciary, trial by jury, respect for the rule of law, access to justice, and fair and just representation of all parties to legal proceedings.
