Global Investigations Firm Nardello & Co. Expands With Former Federal Prosecutor & Cybersecurity Pro Wendy Wu In Los Angeles

Global investigations firm Nardello & Co. has expanded in Los Angeles with the arrival of former federal prosecutor Wendy Wu as a Managing Director.

A nationally recognized cybercrime, data security and digital forensics practitioner, Wu joins from an international consulting firm, where she was partner and US General Counsel. Previously, as federal prosecutor in the US Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, she led investigations and prosecutions for the Cyber and Intellectual Property Crimes Section, including computer intrusions, internet fraud, criminal copyright infringement, theft of trade secrets, cyber exploitation of victims, financial fraud, and identity theft.

Wu previously led the West Region practice at Stroz Friedberg and was a litigation associate at Proskauer Rose LLP. She will become a key member of Nardello’s Digital Investigations & Cyber Defense practice, working closely with Timothy Gallagher, who joined earlier this year as Chief Security Officer and Managing Director.

“Wendy is an ideal addition to our growing LA presence and cybersecurity expertise,” said Dan Nardello, Chairman & CEO of Nardello & Co. “Her arrival is testament to the exceptional talent and diversity of our team and will bolster our ability to help our clients worldwide.”

As Nardello & Co marks its 20th anniversary, Wu’s arrival represents strategic expansion in LA, following the opening of a Century City office last year, led by Managing Director Amie Chang. Nardello has grown by more than 30 percent overall in the past three years, with women at the firm comprising 50% of senior leadership roles.

“I’m eager to contribute my cyber and investigative knowledge to leaders behind some of today’s most prominent cybersecurity and data-related investigations,” Wu said. “I also look forward to continuing to grow a robust LA team with Amie.”

Wu earned her JD from the American University, Washington College of Law and BA from the University of California at Santa Barbara. She serves as Vice Chair for the Los Angeles County Bar Association Privacy & Cybersecurity Section and is a member of the Women’s White Collar Defense Association and the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
