PulteGroup’s Southeast Florida Division Helps Equip Teachers and Students with School Supplies

Employees volunteer to pack kits for kids in Palm Beach County Schools

About two dozen employees from PulteGroup’s Southeast Florida Division volunteered their time to organize and pack donated school supplies for Palm Beach County public school students.

On August 14, 2023, members of the sales, marketing, and mortgage teams visited Red Apple Supplies in Riviera Beach to assemble packets of notebooks, binders, pencils and erasers, and other essential supplies. The PulteGroup employees also wrote notes thanking teachers for their work and wishing them good luck in the 2023-24 school year.

Red Apple Supplies is a program of the Palm Beach County Education Foundation where teachers can pick up the donated items and take them back to their classrooms to distribute to children in need.  According to statistics, more than 40,000 children live below the poverty line in Palm Beach County.  In any given year, teachers spend an average of $500 of their own money on supplies so that no child goes without the basics.  So, the Red Apple program helps fill the gap and ease the teachers’ financial burden.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Red Apple Supplies and make a positive impact on our community.  It’s important for students to be equipped with all the tools possible so they have the best chance possible to succeed in the classroom,” said Brent Baker, PulteGroup Southeast Division President.
