Comsint Wins Emmy Award at The 46th Annual Boston/N.E. Emmy Awards

Honor Caps a Series of Creative Wins by the PR & Marketing Agency, Including Recognitions from the American Business Awards and Telly Awards

Comsint won an Emmy® Award from the Boston/New England Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for its work with the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC). The award recognized the Boston-based communications and marketing agency with Outstanding Public Service Announcement for its video production highlighting dark sky preservation. The award followed an awards season that recognized the agency for its creative and digital media work.

“Everyone on our team is a storyteller at heart, and we are driven every day by the desire to help our clients tell their stories and reach new audiences in order to drive value,” said Nick Puleo, President, and Founder of Comsint. “The ability to pair data-driven strategy with creative prowess is the hallmark of our team. But it’s those with whom we partner whose powerful stories truly make an impact.”

Comsint worked with AMC to conceptualize and launch its “See The Dark” public awareness campaign. That campaign launched with the winning video –  “In Their Eyes: Three Kids Learn To See The Dark” – which features three children who, like 99% of the U.S. population, live in a place where the night sky is obscured by light pollution. The PSA and campaign aimed to educate audiences across New England on the impact of light pollution.

In the PSA, the children travel from Boston to the Maine woods, away from the many artificial lights of our cities, where they finally can see thousands of stars and experience the wonder and beauty of the dark sky. The video aired online and on public access stations across New England and was paired with a classroom-based program shared with school districts across the region.
