JRM Construction West Rebrands the U.S. Bank Tower’s Lobby and 54th Floor for New Owner Silverstein Properties in Los Angeles

JRM Construction West successfully completed a 12,000 SF demolition and renovation of the U.S. Bank Tower’s 54th floor, and a 17,000 SF main lobby renovation, for building owner Silverstein Properties located at 633 W 5th Street in Los Angeles.

“The project, part of Silverstein’s major high-rise renovation, encompassed a range of new amenities throughout the 54th floor, along with a marketing gallery and dedicated co-working area,” said John Jackson, Principal, JRM Construction West. “The project also included the removal of all signage throughout the exterior of the building, all elevator lobbies, and across the management floor while patching and refinishing all surfaces.”

The new 54th floor features sunburst-patterned wood flooring, a stunning lounge and bar area, and a cozy fireplace, a built-out café area with a full-service coffee bar, a back-of-house kitchen, and a new janitor’s room. Additionally, the space houses a new marketing gallery complete with coved plaster ceilings, a pitch room with operable hidden pivot partitions, and a media wall. The nearby dedicated co-working lounge offers guests multiple new conference rooms, phone booths, and fully renovated restrooms. JRM also renovated the existing elevator lobby with all-new millwork shelves, plastered walls, refinished elevator portals and doors, and sleek wood floors.

The main lobby renovation was completed in phases to ensure the space remained accessible throughout construction. The scope included the exterior trellis, the pathway to the interior parking garage, regrading and striping for ADA compliance, and a complete demo of all finishes. JRM installed a sleek new live-edge entry desk, seating cabanas, a new feature green wall, a fireplace, and a cafe and juice bar area. The renovated lobby also features stunning wood tambour details throughout the space.

The architects on the project were SAAIA and Jeffrey Beers International; the engineer was AMA Group.
