Redgrave Welcomes Kathy Josephson As A Partner In Chicago

Kathy comes to Redgrave with substantial experience representing clients in connection with litigation and investigation, including fraud investigations and affirmative litigation.

Kathy is known for her innovative approach to representing clients in fraud investigations and affirmative litigation. Over the past twenty years, she has developed unique investigation, claims handling, and litigation strategies for clients designed to detect, prevent, and obtain recoveries for systemic fraud in jurisdictions across the country. Kathy works with clients to identify solutions that integrate high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective advice and counsel, along with key business considerations and best practices. Her work also focuses on providing clients with strategic guidance related to data collection, metrics, and analytics, and her ability to extract meaningful intelligence from vast amounts of data allows her to develop innovative strategies and provide actionable insights that drive successful outcomes. Kathy is skilled at handling all aspects of pre-trial litigation and discovery, including preparation, briefing, and argument of discovery motions, motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, preparation of experts for deposition, and taking and defending depositions, including corporate representative 30(b)(6) depositions. She has served as trial counsel in federal jury trials, where she oversaw direct and cross examinations of numerous fact and expert witnesses and briefed and argued trial motions and jury instructions.

At Redgrave, Kathy will work with clients on developing practical discovery strategies in litigation and investigation matters, as well as handling all aspects of discovery representation and advocacy. She will also continue to work with clients concerning fraud investigation matters.

Kathy joins the Firm from Seyfarth Shaw LLP, where she was a partner.  She previously was a partner at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. Kathy received her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law and her B.A. from Northwestern University.
