Memorial Day weekend—the unofficial start to summer—is right around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than by indulging in delicious food and refreshing drinks at some of Atlanta’s finest restaurants? Whether you’re looking to relax on a patio with a cold beer or try some new flavors, these restaurants have the long weekend covered with mouthwatering specials.

Buckhead

Gypsy Kitchen will open at noon on Monday, May 29 with a variety of special features. Guests can enjoy the Buckhead Village eatery’s menu of Mediterranean shared plates and vibrant cocktails in the dining room or on the expansive rooftop patio oasis. Make reservations online.

Johnny’s Hideaway, Atlanta’s nightclub for big kids, keeps the weekend going strong by staying open until 3 a.m. on Sunday, May 28. The cover charge is $10, and Johnny’s waives the cover charge for active and retired military members every night.

West Midtown

Guests are invited to get their game on and spend the weekend at Your 3rd SpotThe dining and gaming concept at The Works on Atlanta’s Upper Westside will open early at 1 p.m. on Memorial Day and regular hours over the rest of the weekend. Roswell/Alpharetta

Cattle Shed Wine & Steak Bar is celebrating the long weekend and its second anniversary Memorial Day weekend. On Saturday, May 27, guests are invited to stop in for complimentary bites, live music and a chance to meet “Chopped” champion executive chef Olivia Hurst. The party runs from 1-4 p.m. On Monday, May 29, the eatery will offer brunch specials in addition to its regular menu. Reservations can be made online.

All locations of HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern—Brookhaven, Dunwoody, Atlantic Station and Halcyon in Alpharetta—are open regular hours Memorial Day weekend with special brunch features all weekend long.

Postino Winecafé—with locations in Buckhead and West Midtown—invites guests to raise a glass to the weekend. Just in time for summer, the Sunburn Spritz cocktail mixes Mazzura (a red, bitter aperitivo with a striking fuchsia color derived from a mixture of flowers and fruits) and Cocchi Rosa (an aromatized wine produced in Italy’s Piedmont region) for a refreshing accompaniment to the wine bar’s menu of small plates, bruschetta boards and more. Postino’s weekend brunch menu is sure to please with features such as ricotta fritters, panettone French toast and smoked salmon carpaccio, and guests can beat the heat on Postino’s spacious, covered patios featuring bar access, fans and misters.
