Independent creative marketing agency 62ABOVE has promoted Erik Dargitz to Creative Director, according to agency President, Greg Carson. Dargitz works on a variety of the agency’s accounts including Visit Carlsbad, Monterey County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Cherry Creek North and Pebble Beach Resorts.
Prior to joining 62ABOVE in 2021 as an Associate Creative Director, Dargitz was a Senior Copywriter at Seattle-based Chapter & Verse where he created advertising and branding for a variety of clients in the tech sector, wine and power industries. Dargitz spent five and a half years in the creative department at MeringCarson (now The Shipyard), and prior was Director of Content Marketing & Strategy at Zeeto Media in San Diego.
His first job was working for Peter Pan Seafoods as a net setter aboard a fishing vessel off the coast of Alaska.
Dargitz is a graduate of Washington State University and spent a Semester at Sea with the Institute for Shipboard Education. Carson noted, “Erik makes us better every day. But his creativity is only matched by his caring and kindness. In an industry full of bluster and big egos, Erik is genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve ever worked with.”
