KatzAbosch Principal Kristin Bailey Recognized in CFMA’s First-Ever 40 Under 40 Class

Kristin Bailey, CPA, CCIFP, CCA, Principal at KatzAbosch, has been recognized in CFMA’s first ever 40 Under 40 Class. Kristin Baily started at KatzAbosch as an intern, and quickly rose to the challenge of leading the firm’s construction services group. She is one of the youngest teammates to play a pivotal role in managing the firm’s construction relationships. From early on she has proved an integral part of the group’s success by training and mentoring staff. Kristin holds the prestigious distinction of Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP.) She is also a Certified Construction Auditor (CCA.)

This year and last, the construction services group’s mission to help businesses “create, grow and protect,” has been put to the test as the pandemic wreaked havoc. Kristin and her team pivoted at lightning speed to aid clients getting emergency funds through the government’s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). By studying and adapting to the numerous legislative opportunities such as the PPP and partnering with fellow strategic partners such as bankers and lawyers, clients were kept well informed and ahead of the changes.

“Kristin always shows ongoing initiative, leadership and dedication to our firm and the construction industry. She comes into work every day eager to make a difference,” says Michael Gentry, Director at KatzAbosch and co-chair of the firm’s construction service team.

Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), the only non-profit organization dedicated to serving the educational needs of today’s construction financial professionals, announced the honorees of the first 40 Under 40 program, which recognizes the next generation of construction financial management leaders.

“As CFMA celebrates 40 years, we wanted to take this opportunity to recognize the best and the brightest from the next generation of construction financial management leaders. In February 2021, we asked members to submit nominations for amazing people under the age of 40 who are rising stars, positively impacting the construction industry and their companies. We received more than 115 submissions, which demonstrates the abundance of young talent within CFMA,” stated Samantha Lake, CFMA’s Vice President of Marketing.

“As a first-time program, it was wonderful to see the response from our members who wanted to recognize these talented individuals,” said Pam Hepburn, CCIFP, CFMA’s 2021-22 Chairman. “Their diverse experiences and commitment to their work and the construction industry illustrates that our profession is in good hands and our future is bright with these professionals at the helm. Congratulations to this year’s inspiring class of 40 Under 40 honorees.”
