Stacy Padula, a native of Pembroke, Massachusetts and Silver Lake Regional High School graduate, was recently selected by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) as Top Global Impact Author of the Year for 2023.

Padula is the Founder and President of Briley & Baxter Publications LLC, a Plymouth-based publishing company in support of animal rescues. In 2021, Briley & Baxter Publications began helping new authors break into the industry while donating 10% of all publishing royalties to animal rescues. Padula has published over 30 authors and released over 50 books thus far. The mission of the company is to not only help new talent get discovered, but also publish books that inspire readers to use their gifts and talents to positively impact the world. Prior to founding Briley & Baxter Publications, Padula was already a successful published author of young adult books. Her first series, Montgomery Lake High, was published between 2010-2014, and each of the five books help teenagers navigate social battles commonly faced in high school. Padula’s award-winning Gripped series (published 2019-present) focuses on prescription drug abuse and mental health in teenagers, following the suspenseful story of NFL hopeful Taylor Dunkin and his community. Gripped is currently being adapted for television by Emmy Award-winning writer and producer Mark Blutman (best known for Boy Meets World, Girl Meets World, and Ghostwriter). The series was recently signed by production companies Oakhurst Entertainment, Victory Sports Media, and Pivotal Moments Media. Padula is the author of thirteen books with a few more in the works.
In 2020, Padula co-created a children’s book series with NBA Coach Brett Gunning titled On the Right Path, which shares life lessons with readers through the game of basketball. On the Right Path has been endorsed by Boston Celtics Legend and NBA Hall-of-Famer Kevin McHale, Joel Osteen, and Mike D’Antoni as a series that belongs in every school, church, and library. On the Right Path books one, two, and three were released in 2021 and 2022. Book four will be released in 2023.
In addition to her literary endeavors, Padula also runs a highly successful college counseling company on the South Shore of Massachusetts for which she works full time, guiding high school students and their families through the complicated college application process. Each year, Stacy takes on 15-20 students to counsel and mentor, helping them select their college majors, form their college list, build their resumes, write their application essays, and fill out their applications. Prior to founding South Shore College Consulting & Tutoring in 2016, Stacy was the director of operations at another private education company for eight years, where she managed a staff of 30 tutors and developed all company curriculum.
