Scheinker Legacy Wealth Advisors Welcomes Todd Garliss

As the world markets continue to be in flux, inflation and high interest rates remain a challenge for the economy, and the volatility in the stock market intensifies, it is essential to have a seasoned and professional team partner with you during this journey. Advice and planning, now more than ever, are integral parts of Scheinker Legacy Wealth Advisor’s relationship with you.

After a long due diligence process, it is with great pleasure that I introduce to you one of my mentors, good friends, and the newest partner of our team – Todd Garliss. I have known Todd for years, and in the back of my head I always knew that he would join us as a Financial Advisor.

Todd began his career at Alex. Brown & Sons in 1992 on the Equity Trading desk and achieved Principal status before joining Wachovia as a Managing Director. After receiving his MBA in 2003, Todd joined Equity Capital Markets at Wachovia focusing on corporate positioning, capital raising strategies, stock buy-back strategies and activist shareholder strategies.

With over 30 years of experience that includes institutional asset management, private wealth management, investment banking and equity trading, Todd believes strongly in creating value for clients and their investment portfolios by building relationships of trust while thoroughly understanding their life goals. Prior to joining Janney, Todd worked at Corbyn Investment Management with private clients, institutional clients, independent advisors, charitable organizations and family offices to focus on their fixed income portfolios, particularly in the high-yield sector.

Todd and his wife Shawna live in Cockeysville with their three children. He graduated from Washington & Lee University and received his MBA from the RH Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.

In other team news, I am excited to congratulate Aprenea McCutchen on earning her Certification for Long Term Care. Also kudos to my team who in January were recognized by Forbes Magazine in its Best-In-State Wealth Advisor Team.

Many of you have asked about Jerry, he is still here and is aiming to work for another twenty years. Jerry notes, “as I enter my biblically allotted 5 scores and 9 years, it is prudent and in the best interest of my clients to transition ownership to the next generation.” Jerry will continue to come into the office every day and take on an Emeritus role.

Lastly, for updates on the home front my twins just turned 14 years old. While they take up most of my non-work time, I continue to be a Trustee of The St. Paul’s Schools’ where I chaired a 700-attendee fundraising event on April 1. I also have an active role on the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation Tip-Off Classic and serve on the Board of Directors of medtech firm CraniUS which is creating a device to end brain disease.

I want to thank you for your continued trust and confidence over the years. It really is amazing how far this business has come and how much wealth has been created. Please feel free to contact my office, meet Todd Garliss and set up a time for a financial planning review. I know it will be a worthwhile exercise.

Sincerely,

Joshua A Scheinker
