Fiske & Company, one of South Florida’s leading accounting, business valuation and litigation consulting firms, announced Anneliese Scherer has earned the Certified in Financial Forensics CFF® Credential from the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA).
“Anneliese has been an integral part of our litigation support and forensic accounting practice group.” said Sheri Fiske Schultz, managing partner, Fiske & Company. “The CFF® certification recognizes her analytical skills, expertise and experience in her role with our very active Forensics and Valuation department.”
She manages a diverse case load consisting of business litigation disputes such as employee theft, shareholder and partner disputes, embezzlement, and analyzing disputed assets in divorce matters. She also works with the firm’s tax & accounting practice clients by providing outsourced CFO and consultative services.
According to the AICPA, the CFF ® credential is for CPAs who specialize in forensic accounting. The CFF credential is granted exclusively to CPAs who demonstrate considerable expertise in forensic accounting through their knowledge, skills, and experience. To obtain the credential, you must pass the CFF exam.
Before joining Fiske, Scherer was a forensic accountant, auditor, business manager and internal accountant as well and ran her own accounting firm.
She received both Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting from Florida International University. Scherer is a member in good standing of the American Institute of CPAs and Florida Institute of CPAs.
