On March 21, Clark Construction Group and SomeraRoad Inc. joined design and trade contractors to celebrate the topping out of Prima at Paseo South Gulch, a new 406,800-square-foot residential building in Nashville, Tennessee. The topping out ceremony marks the completion of structural concrete operations.
Prima is the latest component of Paseo South Gulch, a revitalized urban district within minutes of downtown Nashville.
Once complete, Prima at Paseo South Gulch will feature 8,900 square feet of ground-floor retail, 19,800 square feet of office space, six levels of parking, and 278 residential units. The project will also include luxury amenities, such as a fitness center, pool deck, pool lounge, kitchen and sports lounge, BBQ area, pet spa, club room and terrace, and business center. The building’s façade will feature window walls with metal panels throughout the tower portion, and a combination of brick and curtainwall on the podium.
Since breaking ground on the project in February 2022, Clark has placed over 18,000 cubic yards of concrete to create the structure. With this milestone complete, the team is focused on the façade and interior finishes.
“This is a monumental achievement for the entire project team,” said Daren Laub, project executive at Clark Construction. “The topping out ceremony is a great opportunity to celebrate the team members, and their hard work to deliver the structure on schedule and most importantly, safely.”
“Paseo South Gulch is a legacy-defining project which will be a bold and authentic mixed-use district within the urban core of Nashville. The topping out of Prima, Paseo’s first newly constructed tower, is a significant and exciting milestone for SomeraRoad. With Clark Construction’s stewardship, Prima is already making its mark on Nashville’s skyline and is another step closer to becoming a destination tower that will be a preeminent place to live, work, and play,” said Martin Stroble, vice president and head of construction at SomeraRoad.
Clark is set to deliver the project in April 2024.
