Charlestown Promotes Don Grove To Executive Director

Charlestown, a continuing care retirement community managed by Erickson Senior Living, is pleased to announce the promotion of Don Grove to executive director.

A long-time leader at the community, Grove brings more than 15 years of experience in senior living to the role.

“It is an exciting time to live and work at Charlestown,” said Kerry Jones, vice president, corporate operations at Erickson Senior Living. “As the community celebrates its ruby anniversary, we reflect on 40 years of serving seniors and their families in the Baltimore metropolitan area. Now, with Don’s leadership, we also look forward to building on a tradition of innovation to continue serving the evolving needs of this vibrant community. We are confident that Don will provide strong, confident leadership for Charlestown’s bright future.”

Grove joined the Charlestown team in 2007 as director of sales and marketing, a position he held for 14 years. During that time, he showed exceptional leadership and community involvement across multiple disciplines. In 2021, Grove transitioned to the role of associate executive director and most recently took on the role of interim executive director.

Prior to joining Charlestown, Grove worked with the Baltimore Orioles as their senior director of sales and ticketing. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. An active member of the local community, Grove lives with his family in the Main Street area of Ellicott City.
