Churchill’s Anne Philpott Named One of the Most Influential Women in Mid-Market M&A by Mergers & Acquisitions

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Churchill Asset Management LLC, an investment-specialist affiliate of Nuveen, today announced that Anne Philpott, Managing Director, Junior Capital & Private Equity Solutions (PEJC), was named to Mergers & Acquisitions’ 8th Annual Most Influential Women in Mid-Market M&A list. The list recognizes dealmakers who have significant influence inside their companies and in the wider middle market dealmaking sector, and who possess an ongoing commitment to advance the state of women in financial services.

“We are extremely proud of Anne for this prestigious recognition. Her contributions to Churchill’s PEJC team are exceptional and her commitment to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) within our firm and the wider financial services industry is admirable,” said Jason Strife, Senior Managing Director, Head of Junior Capital & Private Equity Solutions. “We look forward to Anne’s continued success as a leader in the middle market.”

In her role, Ms. Philpott oversees Churchill’s $13 billion private equity fund mandate, comprised of nearly 100 core relationships across strategies and sectors in the U.S. middle market. She leverages Churchill’s relationship-first philosophy and its long-term history as one of the largest Limited Partners (LP) in private equity funds to drive direct deal investment flow. She also serves as one of three members on the PEJC Investment Committee, working on deals for each of Churchill’s strategies, including LP commitments, equity co-investments and junior capital transactions.

Ms. Philpott is committed to amplifying and advancing DEI initiatives at the firm. She is Co-Head of Churchill’s DEI Council and established “WIN @ Churchill,” a female-focused employee group that brings together leading female executives in financial services each quarter to share their perspectives on a variety of topics. In 2020, she helped launch Nuveen’s inaugural Diverse Managers program, a $100 million platform focused on making commitments to minority or women-owned private equity firms in the U.S.
