Nutter’s Partner Mike Leard Elected to the Board of Trustees of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation

Mike Leard, a partner in Nutter’s Litigation Department, was recently elected to the Board of Trustees of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation (MBF). The MBF Board of Trustees provides leadership to the organization in the form of governance and oversight. Trustees are elected from among the MBF Society of Fellows and serve four year terms. Mike has served as a Fellow since 2018 and regularly participates in the MBF’s grantmaking process. Last year, the MBF awarded over $2.5 million in grants to legal aid and nonprofit organizations across the Commonwealth.

In October 2022, the MBF presented Nutter with its President’s Award in recognition of the firm’s leadership and commitment to increasing access to legal services for low-income people in the state. Founded in 1964, the MBF is the philanthropic partner of the Massachusetts Bar Association.
