$11 Million Sale Marks Most Expensive Lot Ever Sold On Marco Island

Jim Prange, a global advisor with Premier Sotheby’s International Realty’s Marco Island sales gallery, recently closed on the $11 million sale of 1071 South Barfield Drive, the most expensive lot ever sold in the island’s history. Prange listed the property in mid-February and was on the market only two days before finding a buyer. He represented both sides of the transaction.

Located on the southernmost point of the island, the 0.79-acre homesite is in the Estates area with 265 feet of direct access water frontage. The lot south-facing lot has views of the Ten Thousand Islands, Caxambas Pass out to the Gulf of Mexico and mangrove islands.  The lot was recently upgraded with a new seawall.

Quotes:

“Lots like this rarely comes on the market. Its location on the point of the island with direct water access is in high demand and I am not surprised it was under contract so quickly. Marco Island’s resilience only enhances its desirability to call this luxury destination home.”
