Meet PIDC’s Incoming President, Philly Native Jodie Harris

Following a months-long search for a president, Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) has named Jodie Harris as the organization’s incoming leader.

The 65-year-old organization, first created by the City of Philadelphia and Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia to spur investment and business growth in the region, has been looking for a predecessor to Anne Bovaird Nevins since September. Nevins announced her departure last June after working for the organization for 15 years, including two as its leader.

Harris, who will start her position on June 1, comes to the role with a wealth of experience in finance and government work. She’s most recently served as the director of the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI Fund) with the US Department of the Treasury in DC, supporting mission-driven financial institutions.
