Business for the Arts of Broward (BFA) is seeking entries from established and emerging artists for its 5th Annual ART + STROLL, presented by BBX Capital. Artists must be 18 years or older.

ART + STROLL is set for Thursday, April 27 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the lobbies of buildings 201, 301 and 200 E. Las Olas Blvd. in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

BFA will accept 2D work, no larger than 60” wide by 60” high, and 3D art such as sculpture, ceramics, fashion or any other free-standing artwork. Accepted artists will be responsible for providing pedestal(s) to display their work and will have to deliver and set up the art themselves.

The theme and medium are open, including but not limited to photography, painting, drawing, printmaking, paper art, fiber art, wood, clay, metal, glass, sculpture, fashion and mixed media. Works should not exceed 30 lbs.

All work must be original and created without the aid of an instructor or kit. Work needs to have been produced within the last eight years. This is a public event open to everyone, so the content of submissions should be appropriate for all viewers.

The fee to enter is $30 and artists will be allowed to submit up to three original pieces. Works selected are based on originality, creativity, craftsmanship and artistic distinction. All work(s) must be submitted online here.

The deadline to submit is Friday, March 17 by midnight. Accepted artists will be notified by March 31st and receive one complimentary ART + STROLL VIP ticket for access to a private food and beverage area in each lobby.

Accepted works may be used for marketing purposes, and the artists will have the opportunity to showcase and sell their work to attendees from the business community and key sponsors. Cash prizes totaling $5,000 will be awarded to artists as follows: 1st place $3,000, 2nd place $1,500 and 3rd place $500.

All artwork may be offered for sale. BFA will encourage buyers to take purchased work home at end of the exhibit. In the event that a buyer cannot take home their work, artists will be responsible for the delivery of their work to the buyer(s). BFA keeps 25% commission on any sold artwork.

This exhibition is open to all functional, non-functional, 2D, 3D, fine art, and fine craft in ALL MEDIUMS and ALL STYLES.
