The Arc Baltimore Will Honor Individuals Who Go“Above and Beyond” In Their Support For People With Developmental Disabilities At Annual Meeting

The Arc Baltimore will hold its 2023 Annual Meeting and Awards Reception on Wednesday, May 3, 6:30-8:30 p.m., at the Padonia Park Club, 12006 Jenifer Road in Cockeysville, MD.

The Annual Meeting and Awards Reception represents The Arc Baltimore’s opportunity to recognize all of those individuals who have gone above and beyond in their service to the organization and the people with developmental disabilities who are recipients of its programs and services.

“The Annual Meeting honors all those who have given so much of themselves to the mission of The Arc Baltimore, from community partners and volunteers to supported individuals, staff members, and other heroes of the organization,” says Kathleen Durkin, the organization’s Chief Executive Officer.

“It is their hard work that is at the very heart of our vision for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independently, work in meaningful jobs, and enjoy friendships and activities in the community,” Durkin continues.

As in past years, the 2023 Annual Meeting will feature a number of recognitions, from awards for Volunteer Service andFoster Care Excellence to honors for Citizenship, Public Service, and Visionary Leadership.The Arc Baltimore’s Employee of the Year and Employer of the Yearwill also be announced during the Annual Meeting.

In addition to the Awards Reception, The Arc Baltimore’s new board of directors and officers will be elected during the Annual Meeting. As in past years, WMAR-TV 2 news anchor Jamie Costello will serve as emcee of the event.
