Leadership Howard County will hold its annual Big Event featuring guest speaker Candace Doby, who will present “Cultivating a Courageous Mindset.” A speaker, author, podcast host and coach, Doby will share strategies for increasing courage and stories to empower leaders.

Doby works with organizations to create a culture of courage where employees perform at their highest potential. She brings a decade of research on courage and experience leading marketing teams at Chipotle and traveling the world solo. She wrote “A Cool Girl’s Guide to Courage,” created The Courage Hotline podcast, hosts the Own Your Brilliance Weekend Retreat and owns Pep Talker greeting cards. Doby’s work has been featured on MSNBC and NPR.
Leadership Howard County’s Big Event brings together more than 400 leaders from business, government and nonprofit organizations in Howard County. Proceeds from the event support Leadership Howard County programs and scholarships.
