Armada Hoffler, Venture Realty Group Finalize Lease With Orvis At Marketplace At Hilltop

Armada Hoffler (NYSE: AHH) and Venture Realty Group are proud to announce the signing of the Orvis Company, Inc. as a new tenant at the Marketplace at Hilltop in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Orvis’ opening date will be May 1.

Founded in 1856 by Charles F. Orvis to sell fishing tackle, Orvis is the oldest mail-order retailer in the U.S. Its retail locations specialize in fly fishing, hunting and sporting goods. The 6,000-square-foot store at Marketplace at Hilltop is adjacent to Michaels, one of the center’s major tenants along with Total Wine, Panera and Chick-fil-A.

This marks Orvis’ debut in the Hampton Roads area. The retailer’s next-closest location is in Richmond.

“Armada Hoffler and Venture Realty Group are thrilled to welcome Orvisto Hampton Roads,” said Louis Haddad, President, and CEO of Armada Hoffler. “Orvis is a tremendous addition to a vibrant tenant mix at the Marketplace at Hilltop.”

The Marketplace at Hilltop has 118,000 square feet of retail space and benefits from its access to 145,000 residents located within a 5-mile radius of the center.

“Proximity to the Oceanfront, along with a successful and stable shopping center, were a few of the driving forces that attracted Orvis to the Marketplace at Hilltop,” said Matt Lafler, Partner at Venture Realty Group. “Orvis is a strong and reputable company with a large following. They will have great success here.”

The Orvis Company’s opening date will be May 1.
