NYREC Seminar on Office Leasing Market

New York Real Estate Center, the leading platform for virtual continuing education courses, is proud to feature some of the industry’s most respected voices in a panel discussion of the state of New York City office leasing market. The free, virtual continuing education seminar will be hosted by Pierre Debbas, principal of New York Real Estate Center and Managing Partner of Romer Debbas LLP.

This course, offered free of charge, will satisfy 1.5 continuing education credits and will stream live on the center’s Facebook page at 10am on April 7, 2021.

The panel of acclaimed experts will include Lois Weiss, Josh Caspi, Lindsay Ornstein and Jim Wenk.

Lois Weiss is a widely read commercial real estate columnist for various publications including the New York Post, The Real Deal, Commercial Observer, Bisnow Media and Daily Mail. Ms. Weiss has been covering New York City commercial real estate for over 20 years and will use her insight and experience to delve into the current state of the office leasing market.

Joshua Caspi is Principal of Caspi Development, a leader in the development of luxury properties throughout the New York area. Mr. Caspi has been responsible for over $1.5 billion worth of real estate throughout his career. His many accomplishments include the development of the elegant five-star Hotel Barrière Le Fouquet’s New York at 456 Greenwich Street in Tribeca, along with other premier hotel, residential, and office buildings in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Westchester, and Long Island.

Lindsay Ornstein is a Co-Founder and leader of the Transwestern New York office. With nearly 20 years of experience, Ms. Ornstein has collectively completed over five million square feet of transactions and has worked across multiple disciplines including tenant advisory, agency leasing, portfolio strategy, branding and consulting advisory work. Throughout her career, she has successfully represented clients such as Robin Hood, JPMorgan Chase, Children’s Aid, Advent International, and Goodwill.

James Wenk serves as Vice Chairman at Savills North America. He assists and advises on locating, analyzing, negotiating, and structuring complex headquarters office lease transactions, optimizing real estate portfolios through workplace consulting, and when applicable negotiating and securing state and municipal incentives.
