Alexander Woolverton Joins Kramer Levin as a Partner

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Alexander Woolverton has joined Kramer Levin’s New York office as a partner in the Bankruptcy and Restructuring department.

Mr. Woolverton represents debtors, creditors and distressed investment funds in Chapter 11 cases, out-of-court restructurings and cross-border insolvencies, with a focus on advising distressed investment funds, institutional investors and ad hoc groups of creditors in restructuring matters. Mr. Woolverton also has an active practice representing companies and distressed investment funds in out-of-court liability management and insolvency-sensitive transactions.

Mr. Woolverton joins Kramer Levin from Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. He began his career at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP after clerking for the Honorable Martin Glenn of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Mr. Woolverton earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School, where he was an associate managing editor of the Brooklyn Law Review, and his B.A. from Oberlin College.
