Holy Cross Health Adds Physicians Michelle Dzung And Maria G. Sukhoo

Family medicine physician Michelle Dzung, DO and internal medicine specialist Maria G. Sukhoo, DO have joined the Holy Cross Medical Group, a multi-specialty physician employed group of more than 130 physicians providing services throughout Broward County.

Dr. Dzung is a board certified family medicine physician who recently completed her training at Broward Health. As a Continuity Clinic Steward in the Broward Health Family Medicine Residency Program, she was involved in clinic operations of Nova Southeastern University’s (NSU) Family Medicine Clinic. She also served as a clinical instructor at NSU, instructing first and second year medical students. Dr. Dzung has significant research experience and has presented at numerous conferences and symposiums. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences and minor in public health from the University of South Florida and graduated cum laude with her D.O. from Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine in North Carolina. She is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, American Academy of Family Physicians, Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, Florida Academy of Family Physicians and American Osteopathic Association. A resident of Parkland, Dr. Dzung is fluent in English and proficient in Vietnamese. Her office is located at 2850 N. Federal Highway in Lighthouse Point.

Dr. Sukhoo is a boardcertified internal medicine specialist who joins Holy Cross Health from Wellington Regional Medical Center where she completed her residency.  Dr. Sukhoo attended Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C Patel College of Osteopathic medicine where she received her Doctorate. A high achiever, Dr. Sukhoo earned her Bachelor of Science from Florida Atlantic University and graduated cum laude in 2 years by earning college credit as a dual enrollment student at Broward College while still attending Pompano Beach High School, where she graduated in the top 10%. Dr. Sukhoo is part of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association, and the American College of Physicians.   Dr. Sukhoo has done extensive research on MRSA Nares Positivity and Correspondence with Dry vs. Wet Cellulitis, and CT Avoidance in Patients with Syncope, Insignificant Trauma, and Normal Neurological Evaluation. ealth

Before practicing medicine, Dr. Sukhoo worked as a Credentialing Specialist at HealthTrust Workforce Solutions as a healthcare recruiter assisting physicians and medical staff. She also has experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Senior Pharmacy Technician and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. She is a resident of Fort Lauderdale. Heroffice is located at 2850 N.
