Newly Remodeled Walmart Store Provides Landover Hills Customers with a Better Way to Shop

Store improvements complement retailer’s vision for an innovative and convenient shopping experience

Landover Hills residents had their first look at the newly remodeled Walmart store at 6210 Annapolis Rd. The store held a ribbon-cutting to celebrate its ReGrand Opening onJanuary13. The event included the singing of the national anthem, a presentation of colors by the local honor guard,food and beverage vendors including Coca-Cola and Red Bull,and a community check presentation totaling $1,500 to the Bladensburg Police Department for the 2023 Shop with a Cop event. Guest speakers included the Mayor of Bladensburg, Takisha James, andBladensburg Police Chief, Tyrone Collington.

The remodel included several department transformations which will help customers save time. Customers will enjoy the following store improvements:

  • Swipe Up technology for on-the-go shoppers allows customers to scan QR codes on desired products to look for added product styles or colors available on Walmart.com. It also provides convenient links to order large, bulky items that can be delivered to the customer’s home.
  • Remodeled bathrooms
  • New directional signage to help make shopping more efficient

Walmart will continue to innovate to help customers save time and money by giving them the option to shop when, where, and how they want, including:

Walmart+

This membership program is designed to save customers time and money with free Walmart.com delivery (no minimums), free delivery from stores ($35 minimum), discount on fuel, use of the Scan and Go app, free 6-month Spotify Premium membership, Paramount+ Essential plan subscription, as well as early access offers throughout the year. Walmart+ costs $98/year ($12.95/month) and includes a 15-day free trial period (Available for sign-up at walmart.com/plus). Items available for free delivery include groceries, electronics, toys, and household goods.

To take advantage of Walmart’s new shopping features, customers can download the Walmart app through Apple Store or Google Play.
