1792 Wealth Advisors Appoints David Simon as SVP

MORRISTOWN, N.J.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–1792 Wealth Advisors (1792), the premier partner for individual advisors and teams seeking independence options for financial advisors, today announced that industry veteran David Simon has joined 1792 as Senior Vice President, Partner and as Wealth Advisor at Raymond James Financial Services, to open and lead their Philadelphia-area office. With 35 years of experience in wealth management, retirement planning, college funding and more, Simon brings expertise along with an established track record to the supported independence space.

“David is a great fit for 1792,” said Bob Milligan, Managing Partner and Founder of 1792 Wealth Advisors and Branch Manager, RJFS. “Not only will he expand our network in the Philadelphia area, but he also embodies the values of supported independence that we strive for. We are thrilled to have him on board and look forward to watching David grow with us in this new endeavor.”

After an exhaustive due diligence seeking the right fit, Simon met Milligan late in the process and made a swift decision to move to 1792. He realized that supported independence was the best option for his long-term business goals – primarily meeting and exceeding client needs.

“I was looking for the right fit for my clients, practice, and myself – without my clients I have no business,” said Simon. “It is important for advisors to have freedom and flexibility in their work day-to-day, especially so in a post-COVID world. 1792 Wealth Advisors gives me that freedom while allowing me to provide industry-leading resources and technology to my clients. It’s really a win-win situation.”

1792 Wealth Advisors is an integrated Raymond James platform that affords advisors the opportunity to streamline and maximize their businesses via supported independence. As more advisors seek to break away from wirehouses, this model alleviates concerns about the back-end operations of going independent but allows advisors to remain autonomous in their practice, choice of investments, products and more.

“We are standing tall in our relationship with Raymond James,” adds Milligan. “Countless advisors are looking for an option to grow their practice independently, but don’t often have the resources to serve their clients with a white-glove approach. We’ve never been more excited about the future of our relationship and opportunities to grow in 2023.”

Prior to joining 1792, Simon spent 22 years as an advisor at Wells Fargo. He is based in Fort Washington, PA with plans to open a permanent office in the area by Q2 2023. The addition of Simon and the Philadelphia-area office follows the recent expansion of 1792 Wealth Advisors in Central PA with Sprenkle Wealth Management, run by industry veteran David Sprenkle in April 2022.
