Casa Almenara To Open Soon In Midtown

The owner of two Midtown mainstays is introducing Atlanta’s newest destination for unassuming, fantastic food.Casa Almenara: Tulum Cuisine & Craft Bar will open soon in the former 10th and Piedmont and G’s Midtown restaurant spaces in Midtown. Located at 10th Street and Piedmont Road along the rainbow intersection, Casa Almenara will introduce cuisine from the Mexican region of Tulum along with craft cocktails, elevated service, and entertainment as a focus.

“We are bringing familiar ownership and values to an all-new concept,” said Gilbert Yeremian, owner. “We look forward to introducing a new chapter in our restaurant history with an exciting vibe for our neighborhood.”

Casa Almenara will be a neighborhood destination offering a warm and friendly atmosphere with superior hospitality where guests can share a meal or a drink with family and friends. Almenara means “beacon” in Spanish, and Yeremian hopes that the new restaurant will be a relaxing oasis at the busy corner of Midtown. Casa Almenara will focus on high-quality, freshly prepared and well-presented Latin American dishes.

At Casa Almenara, guests will savor the cuisine and relaxed atmosphere of Tulum, Mexico. “We are revamping our beloved brunch with a new Tulum-style menu and expanding service beyond just the weekend. We will follow brunch with a Tulum dinner each day,” says Yeremian.

Improvements to the space include an updated kitchen, and the dining room décor will reflect the colors of nature with bamboo, green plants and many tiles. Tables will be topped with reclaimed wood.

Yeremian has had a long history with the community in this location. Starting in 2000, he and his brother opened Gilbert’s Café and Grill, serving Mediterranean fare. In the last 22 years, the restaurant space has served every Atlanta mayor, innumerable celebrities and, most importantly, its loyal regulars.

“Over the last few decades, a lot has changed about what guests expect from their neighborhood restaurant,” says Yeremian. “Our core values of appreciating and celebrating diversity and respecting and honoring human equality always will be the two pillars in the heart of our culture.  We will support and work for the advancement of these values.”

Casa Almenara will serve brunch from 11: 30 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday-Friday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and dinner from 4 p.m.-close, Wednesday-Sunday. The restaurant will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The restaurant will host Tulum Nights, an entertainment series that will start during dinner service each evening.

Casa Almenara, serving cuisine from the Mexican region of Tulum along with craft cocktails, is located at 991 Piedmont Road, in Midtown Atlanta. Reservations are available for Casa Almenara on OpenTable.com. To learn more, please visit casa-almenara.com.
