Mendoza Ventures, a Boston, MA-based female and Latinx-founded Venture Capital firm, held the first close of its $100M Third Early Growth Fintech fund.
The initial close was led by Bank of America, including Grasshopper Bank and other investors. Bank of America supported the fund as part of their commitment to advancing racial equality and economic opportunity, of which over $400M is allocated to investments in mission-focused venture funds.
Run by husband and wife Adrian and Senofer Mendoza, Mendoza Ventures is a fintech, AI, and cybersecurity venture capital firm focused on investing in diverse and female-led startups.
Started in 2016 with the launch of its pilot fund, the firm launched its Fund II in 2019. Fund II’s capital allocation was dedicated for 80% to underrepresented founders (defined as female, immigrant, person of color, or LBGTQ).
