CrossFit Addison is up and running in a new location in north Dallas, nearly doubling the size of its workout facility and ending a one-year search for expansion space.
The new location is a 6,451-sf freestanding retail building at 14839 Inwood Rd. in Addison. Jason Finch, first vice president of locally based Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services, represented the CrossFit operator, TKZ Athletics, in its lengthy search for room to expand.
The structure – a former martial arts studio – had been vacant about six months when Finch came across it while driving around the submarket. It was a good fit design-wise, replete with men’s and women’s showers and at least 2,000 sf of additional space.
“We were lucky to find this building,” Finch says. “It checked all of the boxes.”
CrossFit offers strength and conditioning programsgeared toward fitness training for police, tactical operations teams, martial arts students and athletes. CrossFit Addison, which has about 150 members, is one of more than 15,000 CrossFit locations in 120 countries.
The structure is owned by 14885 Inwood Road LLC. Representing the landlord was in-house broker Bruce Juliani.
