St. John Properties, Inc., a Baltimore-based full-service commercial real estate development and management company which has more than 22 million square feet of space across 10 states, has signed leases with two new fast-casual restaurants in the northern Baltimore County corridor. Tacos Way Hunt Valley is scheduled to open within a 2,495 square foot space at Yorkridge Center North at 10540 York Road in December. Treva Ghattas of Murphy Commercial represented the client in this transaction. Quickway Japanese Hibachi intends to open early next year within Yorkridge Center South at 1830 York Road. Leonard Pick of Renaud Consulting represented the client, Seikou Management Group, LLC and Bill Holzman, Vice President of Retail Leasing for St. John Properties represented the landlord in both leases.

According to a representative with Tacos Way Hunt Valley, the restaurant will be configured as a “taqueria” and serve a variety of quesadillas, tacos, taco salads and other Mexican-food specialties and will employ approximately 10 employees. Overlooking York Road in the Cockeysville/Hunt Valley area of Baltimore County, 1830 York Road is a building containing nearly 10,000 square feet of inline retail space.

Quickway Japanese Hibachi will utilize a cooking style in which food items including steak, chicken, seafood and vegetables are cooked in a large, open bowl and seasoned with teriyaki and other specialty sauces.Yorkridge Center South is part of a three-building mixed-use business community containing more than 101,000 square feet of flex/R&D and retail space.

Nearly 28,000 vehicles pass both sites on a daily basis via York Road, and approximately 82,000 consumers reside within a five-mile radius of both centers. Yorkridge Center North and South are located approximately one mile from an Interstate 83 exit, two miles from Towson and Interstate 695 and three miles from Cockeysville.

“Mexican and Japanese-inspired food are two of the fastest-growing restaurant segments in the country and both categories remain underserved in this section of Baltimore County,” stated Bill Holzman of St. John Properties. “These uses provide new lunchtime options for our business tenants and the surrounding community, which are constantly seeking high-quality and convenient restaurant choices along the York Road corridor.”
