SpyCloud Appoints Damon Fleury as Chief Product Officer

AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–SpyCloud, the leader in operationalizing Cybercrime Analytics, today announced Damon Fleury as its new Chief Product Officer. Fleury will be responsible for the strategy and development of SpyCloud’s diverse portfolio of fraud and cyberthreat prevention products.

Throughout his nearly 30 year career in the security industry, Damon has served in a range of leadership positions in engineering, product management, market strategy, security services, and incident response, working to develop innovative and disruptive products and services. Prior to joining SpyCloud, Damon served as the CTO and VP of Cybersecurity Services at CyberDefenses Inc., a Texas-based MSSP where he built cybersecurity services, for commercial and SLED clients, from the ground-up.

“Damon has served as an important partner and advisor to SpyCloud since its founding in 2016 and has been invaluable in pushing the company to where it is today – especially in these last several months as our Vice President of Strategy,” said Ted Ross, CEO and Co-Founder of SpyCloud. “We’ve seen extensive growth in recent years, and as we continue to innovate, having Damon’s experience and ingenuity on the senior leadership team will enable us to move into new markets and ensure we’re delivering industry-leading solutions for our customers.”

This new appointment will further drive the success of SpyCloud’s shift to a Cybercrime Analytics company, an automated prevention approach enabled by the company’s first-of-its-kind Cyber Analytics Engine and powered by over 300+ billion recaptured assets from the criminal underground.

“I’m thrilled to lead the team building innovative products and solutions to protect customers from the most prevalent cyberthreats. We have seen a sharp increase in criminal online activity over the last 24 months, but existing tools fall short when it comes to actionable darknet insights,” said Damon Fleury, Chief Product Officer of SpyCloud. “We created the Cybercrime Analytics category to fill this gap – to unify our solutions and showcase how our products allow organizations to take action to protect themselves from online fraud and critical cyberthreats that stem from stolen data, such as account takeover, and ransomware.”

Building upon a period of sustained growth at the company over the last few years, including the launch of innovative products including Session Identity Protection to negate the threat of session hijacking and SpyCloud Identity Risk Engine to provide businesses with deeper insights on their consumers’ risk of synthetic identity and fraud – the appointment of Damon to SpyCloud’s most senior product leader and strategist will continue this momentum into 2023 and beyond.
