Megan Guy, Senior Vice President of Development at Simone Development Companies (second from right), was a featured panelist at the fifth annual NYC Builds Bio+ 2022 Life Sciences Symposium, addressing a session on “Current Life Sciences Building and Construction Challenges.”For more than 25 years, Simone Development Companies has designed, built, financed and managed successful medical office and healthcare facilities for the New York metropolitan area’s largest and most prestigious hospitals and medical practices. Post-pandemic, the investment and development climate for life sciences has been challenging as a result of rising prices, supply chain issues, material shortages and a tightening financial environment. Ms. Guy joined other leading developers Rich Monopoli, Senior Vice President at BXP, and Matt Weir, Executive Vice President of Taconic Partners and President, Elevate Research Properties, in sharing their experiences on how life science projects are being affected and how their companies are adapting.
