The West-Central Maryland Chapter 92 of The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) has recognized Christina Martin, Director of Property Management for Edge, as the recipient of its annual Distinguished Service Award for 2022. Martin, who is President-Elect of the local IREM Chapter, also received the award in 2019. Edge is a full-service commercial real estate firm with offices in Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
IREM is an international association with more than 20,000 members that is dedicated to the education, training, and development of professionals engaged in asset and property management for the commercial and residential real estate industries. The West-Central Maryland Chapter recognizes professionals for this award that have positively impacted the group over an extended period of time with leadership and project initiatives. Martin previously served as President of the local chapter in 2011, was a Board Member for many years, and will begin her term as Chapter President in 2024. Martin is also Chapter Senior Liaison for the Region 3 Education Committee
“IREM has played a significant role in my development as a property management executive, as my affiliation has provided opportunities to engage with mentors, learn about best industry practices and regularly discuss ideas and challenges with my peer group,” explained Christina Martin. “I have tried to pay this forward by investing resources to help advance the interests of the association, and work to make it stronger and more effective to serve the interests of our membership.
