Marti’s New River Bistro At The Broward Center Reopens With The Start Of The New Arts Season

Marti’s New River Bistro, the waterfront restaurant at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, has officially reopened its doors at the start of the new arts season. Guests will enjoy prix fixe dinner and brunch menus that are the perfect overture for evening performances and weekend matinees in the Au-Rene Theater and select events in the Amaturo Theater.

With a bright and modern waterfront dining room featuring breathtaking views of the New River, Riverwalk and downtown Fort Lauderdale’s skyline, the restaurant is named after renowned Florida native and local Broward arts advocate Marti Huizenga. Perfectly situated for theatergoers who wish to relax and enjoy a delicious meal before the show starts, Marti’s also welcomes those without tickets who seek a memorable waterfront dining experience along the Intracoastal or a delightful outing with friends and family.

Opening two and one-half hours prior to select evening performances, Marti’s New River Bistro’s three-course prix fixe dinner menu is priced at $59.50 per person. Among the featured dinner menu items to choose from for the first course are tempting kani maki and smoked salmon Naruto; delectable grilled margarita shrimp; a refreshing Marti’s Bistro salad; and a tantalizing celery root bisque with spiced apple. Second course entrée items have something for every taste with sesame seared ahi tuna; Tuscan chicken agrodolce; Italian cheese fiocchi; maple seared salmon; teriyaki Chateaubriand; and a very vegan tower of portobella, tomato, brussels, quinoa, chickpea, root vegetable and carrot puree. For dessert, there is the tempting choice of banana bread pudding or Meyer lemon tartlet.

Marti’s New River Bistro also offers a 2-course prix fixe brunch for $39.50 on select weekends before performances. The brunch menu’s opening act includes a choice of a bistro “charFRUITerie” board with seasonal fruit, banana dressing and artisan cheeses; oatmeal brûlée with apple, candied pecan and seasonal berries; kani maki and smoked salmon Naruto; and grilled margarita shrimp.  Headliner specialties include new takes on traditional favorites such as lox ‘n sesame bagel, Marti’s matinee scrambler of cheesy eggs and candied bacon, and sweet potato pancakes as well as a delicious bistro steak burger, seared tuna Niçoise and the very vegan tower. The dessert menu of banana bread pudding or Meyer lemon tartlet returns to make the perfect curtain call for brunch, available for an additional charge.

An extensive wine list and a selection of contemporary cocktails are also offered to perfectly pair with brunch or dinner. There is also seating available at the bar.
