Haymakers for Hope Adds Philadelphia ‘Liberty Bell Brawl’ Event to 2023 Roster

Local Amateur Boxers Will Step Into the Ring in Philadelphia to Support Cancer Research as New Location on Haymakers for Hope Tour is Announced

Haymakers for Hope plans to take on a new city this upcoming year in its fight against cancer research as they add Philadelphia to their 2023 roster for the first ever “Liberty Bell Brawl’. This inaugural Philly signature event will take place on April 27th, 2023, at the Philadelphia Fillmore Auditorium at 7:30 PM, with registrations for fighters of any level starting on November 8th, 2022.

Haymakers for Hope prides itself on taking amateur boxers and allowing them the opportunity to shine in the ring. Whether competitors have never stepped foot into a gym or love to box regularly, Haymakers gives these brave men and women a USA Boxing certified coach and gym access while simultaneously creating a platform to raise money for cancer research, care, and survivorship. In preparation for the big event, each fighter will indulge in a vigorous four-month training cycle. All participants train individually or within small, intimate groups, learning the fundamentals of the sweet science while creating lasting bonds with their trainers and Haymakers for Hope colleagues.

Since its initial event in 2011, Haymakers for Hope has raised more than $23 million for cancer research, awareness, survivorship, and care. The organization has transformed more than 1,000 ordinary participants into extraordinary amateur fighters.

In an effort to knock out cancer, thirty-two courageous fighters from the Philly area will step into the ring to compete in their first ever boxing match. As sign-ups begin to draw closer, Haymakers excitedly awaits the new arrivals who are anxious to hop in the ring while also taking on the fight of knocking out cancer. “We’re excited to be able to expand the growth of our brand among new cities and states, giving more and more communities the chance to help us knock out cancer. The Liberty Bell event is an opportunity to spread awareness about our mission to Philly, the city of brotherly love,” said Co-Founder Andrew Myerson. “Giving more people the opportunity to pursue something they may never have even known they were passionate about and going to a whole new city really ignites that fire all over again,” Myerson added.
