Chase Hospitality Group Sells Last Non-Plant-Based Restaurant to LFG Growth Partners

PLANTA Group launches to become premier hospitality collective of plant-based dining experiences

TORONTO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–PLANTA, the acclaimed plant-based restaurant with eleven locations across the U.S. and Canada, announces the sale of Chase Hospitality Group’s last non-plant-based restaurant, The Chase, to LFG Growth Partners. This comes on the heels of the recent sale of Kasa Moto to Harlo Entertainment. With this latest development, PLANTA launches its own hospitality collective, PLANTA Group, to focus exclusively on elevated plant-based dining experiences.

“10 years ago, I launched Chase Hospitality Group to redefine hospitality and offer unparalleled dining experiences to guests,” shares Steven Salm, President & CEO of PLANTA Group. “The sale of Chase and launch of PLANTA Group marks a pivotal moment, as we now focus on introducing the world to plant-based dining and becoming the premier hospitality collective of plant-based experiences.”

In collaboration with internationally recognized chef David Lee, Salm launched the first PLANTA location in Toronto in 2016, with a mission to reimagine, reinvent, and revitalize the plant-based dining experience. Since then the restaurant has expanded to include 11 locations across Canada and the United States, with plans to launch an additional 10 throughout 2022 and 2023.

“We’re excited to work closely with The Chase’s outstanding team and carry on Steven Salm’s legacy,” says Richard Jaffray, President and CEO, LFG Growth Partners. “In addition to welcoming The Chase to the collection of restaurants that we are building, we’re also investors and big supporters of PLANTA. LFG works with leaders, founders and go-getters, something that definitely describes Steven and Chef David Lee. Under their leadership, PLANTA has a great future ahead and we want to be part of that.”

PLANTA currently has restaurants across Miami, New York, Toronto, Maryland and Chicago. The company also offers nationwide shipping across the U.S. and Canada on best-selling menu items through the PLANTA at Home vertical. For more information, visit www.plantarestaurants.com
