Deltek Named One of the Healthiest Employers of Virginia

Deltek, the leading global provider of software and solutions for project-based businesses, has been recognized as a Healthiest Employer of Virginia for 2022, an awards program created to honor people-first organizations that prioritize the well-being of their employee population.

Deltek, recognizes the importance of supporting its employees around the globe and offers ample opportunities that will help them thrive. Even with many employers returning to the office or to hybrid schedules, Deltek has adapted its workplace model to focus on its employees—with an emphasis on increased flexibility, work-life balance and mental health resources.

Early in the pandemic, the organization implemented a program called Deltek Project Nation Days, which gives employees half days off, every other Friday. This initiative was put in place as a way to help employees alleviate stress, catch up on projects or disconnect from work and spend time with family and friends. These half days have become a great addition to the culture and something employees truly value. Additionally, Deltek offers paid Volunteer Time Off (VTO) that enables employees to dedicate time to causes they care about and make a positive impact in their local communities. Because of Deltek’s ongoing commitment to workplace wellness and benefits, the company was also recently recognized as a 2022 Top Workplace in the Washington area by the Washington Post.

“Deltek’s secret sauce is our culture – when we invest in the individuals that make up our company, we invest in the ongoing and future success of our business. Without healthy, thriving employees, the organization as a whole would suffer,” said Ed Hutner, SVP, Human Resources at Deltek. “We are thrilled to be recognized as a healthiest employer and proud to offer our employees a diverse health program that fits their needs.”

Award applicants were evaluated across six key categories: Culture and Leadership, Foundational Components, Strategic Planning, Communication and Marketing, Programming and Interventions, and Reporting and Analytics. Completed assessments were ranked with the proprietary Healthiest Employers® Index, a 1-100 rubric for wellness programming. The survey is scored and powered by Springbuk, a health intelligence platform that simplifies data-driven decision-making with an intuitive user experience, predictive modeling, and curated action steps.
