MAG Capital Partners, LLC, through its portfolio company, Texas-based Richie Auto Transport, has completed its acquisition of Chicagoland-based Interlink Auto Transport and Interlink Transport Logistics Illinois. The transaction marks the first expansion of MAG Capital Partners’ national auto transport business.
Founded in 2012, Interlink transports new vehicles for some of the world’s leading automakers, including Mazda, Hyundai, Kia, Volkswagen and Stellantis.
“After our purchase of Richie Auto Transport in 2021, we prioritized expansion of our transport coverage in complementary markets,” said Dax T.S. Mitchell, principal of MAG Capital Partners. “When the opportunity to combine two well-respected regional leaders such as Interlink and Richie Auto presented itself, it made excellent sense.”
The companies will take on the new name Interlink Transport and will operate from the Wills Point, Texas, headquarters.
