BOSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Stone-Goff Partners today announced the acquisition of Mitchell Engineering by SGP portfolio company JSI, a leading provider of specialty consulting and engineering services to rural broadband telecommunications operators nationwide.
Mitchell has provided outside plant engineering and design services to telecommunication clients in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Eastern Texas for more than three decades, completing hundreds of fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) projects. The company is headquartered in Wills Point, Texas and is led by Brian Whitaker, P.E.
The announcement highlights the latest in a series of strategic acquisitions by JSI in recent years, designed to further enhance the company’s ability to deliver end-to-end comprehensive broadband services and solutions to communications providers across the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and key US territories. The transaction enables JSI to continue expanding its outside plant (OSP) capabilities and facilitate broadband infrastructure for Mitchell’s client base, many of whom have also used JSI’s regulatory, financial, and compliance services.
