Road to Responsibility (RTR; http://roadtoresponsibility.org), one of the region’s largest and most successful nonprofit organizations supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, announced today that Rudy Dajie, PharmD of North Easton has been named to the organization’s board of directors.
Dajie’s involvement with Road to Responsibility goes back many years, to his days as owner and CEO of Apothecare Pharmacy LLC, a large compounding pharmacy in Massachusetts serving mainly residential care providers. In addition to supporting Road to Responsibility philanthropically over the last several years, Apothecare also worked with RTR, providing the prescribed medication to individuals in all of RTR’s homes, in specialized packaging for each individual.
Currently, Dajie is an investor in, and advisor to, varied health care and technology businesses, advising CEOs on business growth and expansion. As the former owner and CEO of Apothecare, he greatly increased revenue and oversaw continued growth after a recapitalization and facility expansion. Dajie is also the founder and managing member of Grey Holdings I, a commercial real estate portfolio, and is a board observer and strategic advisor to Anodyne Nanotech, Inc. and Ompractice, as well as an investor in QSM Diagnostics, Inc. He is a registered pharmacist who holds a doctorate in pharmacy from MCPHS University.
“Road to Responsibility is a vital resource for individuals in our community living with intellectual and developmental disabilities and other challenges,” said Dajie. “I’m honored to join the board of directors, where I hope to bring my strong familiarity with providing services to individuals with disabilities to this compassionate and meaningful organization.”
“Road to Responsibility is fortunate to have Rudy Dajie join the board of directors,” said George Ford, chairman of the board of directors. “He brings a wealth of talent and experience in healthcare and pharmaceutical technology, having overseen operations for a compounding pharmacy serving the complex medication requirements for residents of human service agencies such as RTR.”
About Road To Responsibility, Inc.
Celebrating over 30 years of making lives better, Road to Responsibility, Inc. (RTR) was established in 1988 with the overarching belief that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities deserve to have full, rich, and rewarding lives in the community, and therefore works to provide the means, the opportunity, and the support necessary to allow citizens with disabilities to take their place as productive members of the community. RTR offers residential, work/employment, day habilitation and other day supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. RTR supports individuals with very diverse needs, including those with significant challenges who would otherwise go unserved if not for RTR. It succeeds where other organizations often fail, through the use of an integrated clinical behavioral approach. This model has proven successful and yielded positive results for the organization and the individuals served.
