Noah Klein Joins Venable’s Growing Land Use and Zoning Practice in Tysons, Virginia

Venable LLP is pleased to announce that Noah B. Klein has joined the firm as a counsel in the Land Use and Zoning practice in the Tysons office. Mr. Klein advises private and public sector clients on land use, real estate, and environmental law matters.

Kedrick Whitmore, chair of Venable’s Land Use and Zoning Practice and partner-in-charge of the Tysons office, said, “Noah’s experience with zoning projects in Prince William, Fairfax, and Loudoun counties will continue to expand the geographic footprint of Venable’s land use group. Through his experience in local government and private practice, Noah has built an impressive reputation for creating and implementing legal strategies for a variety of clients. His skill set will both expand the scope and reach of our team throughout Northern Virginia and provide added capacity to our practice.”

A former local government attorney, Mr. Klein is keenly aware of the issues commercial developers encounter throughout the development review and permitting process. He regularly advances his clients’ primary objectives in negotiations with development agencies, cultivating projects in which all stakeholders feel their interests have been well represented. He also advocates for his clients before boards of supervisors, planning commissions, boards of zoning appeals, and land use advisory groups.

Mr. Klein’s clients include developers, charitable foundations, commercial and residential condo associations, homebuilders, federal and local entities, commercial and industrial developers, religious institutions, and homeowners. He has ample experience navigating entitlement processes through a multitiered approach, which involves developing overall project goals and milestones, resolving legal hurdles, fine-tuning engineering details, coordinating at the local staff level, and crafting political and outside communications strategies.

Commenting on his move to Venable, Mr. Klein said, “This team has established itself as a leading authority on land use and zoning matters in Northern Virginia. I look forward to integrating my practice and utilizing Venable’s platform and resources to the benefit of my clients.”

Mr. Klein received his J.D. from the Washington University in St. Louis School of Law and his B.A. from the College of William & Mary.
