Avita Acquires AbsoluteCare Atlanta

PLANO, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Avita, an award-winning national pharmacy services organization with a focus on LGBTQ+, HIV, PrEP, gender-affirming, and sexual wellness care, has completed an asset acquisition of AbsoluteCare Atlanta’s medical center and pharmacy. The transaction enables Avita to broaden its impact beyond pharmacy services to a robust portfolio of integrated health care solutions and signifies a deeper dedication to providing equitable health care access for the covered entity partners, patients, and communities it serves.

This latest growth phase solidly positions Avita to become a national health care services organization that offers a full suite of sexual wellness, pharmacy, and 340B management solutions.

“Avita is committed to reducing health inequities by bringing compassionate care to our covered entity partners and patients,” said Avita CEO Michael Yount. “We’re thrilled that AbsoluteCare Atlanta has joined the Avita family to advance our strategy of providing accessible LGBTQ+, HIV, PrEP, and sexual wellness care designed to unlock healthier lives.

“Breaking down health care barriers for, and supporting the personalized needs of those we serve, remain our highest priorities,” Yount continued. “The acquisition enables us to improve our existing service model by providing our covered entity partners with greater and more consistent access to trusted prescribers.”

For more than two decades, AbsoluteCare Atlanta has offered comprehensive primary care and pharmacy services to the LGBTQ+ community. An HIV Center of Excellence, AbsoluteCare Atlanta serves more than 5,500 individuals, providing clinical care and life services to its patient base. Effective immediately, all employees of AbsoluteCare Atlanta will become Avita team members.
