South Shore Habitat for Humanity Hosts Annual Golf Tournament at Marshfield Country Club

South Shore Habitat for Humanity will hold its annual golf tournament, Golfing Fore Habitat, on Monday, October 3 at 10:00 am at Marshfield Country Club, 515 Moraine Street in Marshfield.

The tournament features 18 holes of golf with a cart at private, premier championship course, prizes for the top winning foursomes including closest to the pin and longest drive contests, silent auction, cocktail reception and dinner.

“The Golf Tournament is a wonderful opportunity to support a great cause, have fun, and be inspired,” said Beth Lyons, Executive Director of South Shore Habitat for Humanity. “As we work to increase our capacity to serve more families, the tournament will offer necessary funding to provide life-changing opportunities that affordable housing can create.”

This year’s premier sponsor of the tournament is Dedham Savings, a longtime advocate of South Shore Habitat. Other sponsors include Geico and Callahan Construction Managers. Additional sponsorships are available. Registration is available online at Habitatgolf22.givesmart.com.

About South Shore Habitat for Humanity

The Mission of South Shore Habitat for Humanity is to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter by partnering with families in need of affordable housing. Families put in “sweat equity hours” alongside local volunteers on the building of their home and purchase the home with a 30-year, affordable mortgage. Habitat homes have a deed restriction that maintains the affordability status of each home in perpetuity. Habitat Family Partners are selected through a competitive underwriting process based on their ability to pay, willingness to partner, and their need for adequate housing. The organization’s headquarters are located at 77 Accord Park, Norwell, MA. South Shore Habitat serves 32 cities and towns south and southwest of Boston. To date, South Shore Habitat for Humanity has delivered 63 homes to families in need of affordable housing.
