Coconut Grove’s newest hot spot, Amal, invites guests to wake up on the bright side of the Mediterranean with the launch of its traditional and colorful brunch menu. Infusing Lebanese spices and bold flavors into brunch classics, the new brunch menu is available every weekend from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Designed by Chef Wissam Baki, the brunch menu showcases modern interpretations of Amal’s most popular, generous and easily shared dishes such as a variety of dips (hummus, labneh and baba ghanoush), skewers, and hot mezze like truffle rakakat, paired with signature Lebanese breakfast items that include ballila, fatteh, eggs sujuk and shakshouka.
New takes on American breakfast favorites include eggs benedict, pita lox featuring smoked salmon and labneh, and house pancakes served with an orange blossom chantilly, maple syrup, pomegranate orange, and mint.
Amal, which means “hope,” speaks to the hopeful spirit associated with the Lebanese culture – embracing the love of family, zest for life, and certainly, appreciation for fresh and authentic cuisine, that is the true essence and center of the Lebanese home.
