Team Wluka To Again Participate In Neponset Valley Walk To End Alzheimer’s

For the sixth consecutive year, Office Gallery team members will join Team Wluka at the 2022 Neponset Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s, taking place Saturday, September 24, at Patriot Place in Foxborough.

Team Wluka, led by Jordana Wluka, vice president of Office Gallery, started the team in honor and memory of her grandfather Icek “Hank” Wluka, who passed away in 2001 after a six-year battle with Alzheimer’s.

Hank was an incredible man, who survived three years at the Auschwitz Concentration Camp during the Holocaust, and then traveled to America with his wife, Brenda, and their three-year-old son, David (Jordana’s father and brother of Office Gallery founder Allen).  He settled in Massachusetts as his family grew – in addition to Brenda and David, he welcomed two more sons and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  When he passed away in 2001, he was remembered as someone who carried with him a genuine gratitude just to be alive, and with story after story of him helping those less fortunate – offering food and clothing whenever he could.

“We are so proud of Jordana for all of the time and effort she volunteers to help organize the walk and raise funds to help find a cure for this cruel disease,” said Hilary Troia, president of Office Gallery.  “Unfortunately, since Hank passed and as our own Office Gallery team has grown, we have seen even more loved ones suffer from or succumb to the disease.  We walk for all of them, and are honored to be part of Team Wluka, doing our small part to help end Alzheimer’s for everyone.”
