BayCoast Bank’s Claudia Rocha A Providence Business News “40 under Forty” Award Recipient

BayCoast Bank is delighted to announce that Claudia Rocha, Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer, has been named to the prestigious “40 Under Forty” list for 2022 by the Providence Business News (PBN).

One of PBN’s most sought-after awards, the “40 Under Forty” recognizes forty men and women, under the age of 40, who are successful in their careers and involved in their communities.

Rocha joined BayCoast Bank in 2018 with more than 18 years of experience in the financial industry. As Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer she is responsible for cultivating new relationships with businesses and investors in addition to developing new commercial loans and deposit accounts for the Bank.

A graduate of Providence College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Rocha continued her education at The New England College of Business and Finance, where she earned her Master of Business Administration.

Rocha is an active volunteer with several community organizations. She is co-president of the Cumberland/Lincoln Rotary and a board member of Habitat for Humanity for the West Bay and Northern Rhode Island, in addition to being a member of the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce.

Rocha resides in Cumberland, Rhode Island with her husband and their two daughters.

“It’s an honor to be selected to the PBN ‘40 under Forty’ list,” said Rocha, noting that while her education is the foundation for her professional success, she also credits colleagues “for providing important learning and professional development experiences.”

As for her community involvement, Rocha said, “I enjoy helping to improve our communities where we live and work. I had a very modest upbringing and am fortunate to be in a position where I can give back to others now.”

The PBN “40 Under Forty” award winners for 2022 were honored at a recent event held at Aldrich Mansion in Warwick, Rhode Island, overlooking Narragansett Bay.

“It comes as no surprise that Claudia has been named to this prominent Providence Business News list,” said Carl Taber, Executive Vice President, Chief Lending Officer for BayCoast Bank. “She is a highly valued member of our organization whose dedication to both her profession and community is outstanding. The entire BayCoast Bank team extends its congratulations.”
