Mark Richardson Joins The Catered Affair As Executive Chef

The Catered Affair, the region’s premiere experiential caterer and event experience designer, welcomes Mark Richardson as Executive Chef. The addition reflects the company’s commitment to continually evolving its culinary expertise and creative approach.

A Kentucky native and graduate of the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute, Richardson has trained with some of the industry’s most celebrated chefs including Thomas Keller, Daniel Boulud and Robert Sulatycky. He has worked throughout the United States, as well as in Paris, and cooked for 14 years at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in San Francisco, Boston, Chicago and Scottsdale, The Carlyle in New York, and at Dudley’s on Short in Lexington, Kentucky.

Richardson noted that his style is flexible and continually evolving, something he feels is particularly important as guests expect diversity reflected in menus.

“I am always learning and excited to try new techniques, learning from different people and different cultures,” said Richardson. “That continued growth is a philosophy I share with The Catered Affair and a big part of what drew me to the company. We can’t rest on our laurels; you must always push and evolve. That’s what keeps people engaged in what you offer.”
